Show Profile

  • OCTOBER 30 2015 FRI 8:00PM $15/$18
  • SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO FLOODING IN KEVIN'S HOMETOWN.
Flooding in Wimberley is preventing Kevin Welch from travelling to Dallas today, so we have no choice but to cancel the show. It will be rescheduled for a later date.
  • Kevin Welch is a keen observer of the human experience, and writes poetic songs about real life and real people... songs we can all relate to. It is said his songs have an almost film like quality in their vision and beauty. They have been recorded by Waylon Jennings, The Judds, Patty Loveless, Randy Travis, Trisha Yearwood and others. He is a songwriter’s songwriter. Kevin has something meaningful to say, and he says it with song.
  • In 2009, after relocating to Austin, Dustin released his first album, titled Whisky Priest, after the main character in Graham Greene’s consummate novel, The Power and the Glory. Another eventually followed in 2013 titled Tijuana Bible. Nowadays, he plays and tours on his own, with his band, and more than ever before, with his father Kevin. The highlight of Dustin’s active schedule is hosting a weekly songwriting and guitar workshop in San Marcos for Armed Forces veterans. It’s inspiring. It’s a beautiful thing.

Who we are

Uncle Calvin’s Coffeehouse is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run live music venue, presenting concerts nearly every Friday night in the fellowship hall of Northpark Presbyterian Church in Dallas, TX. Our goal is to bring you the best possible environment for listening to music, with clear, pristine sound, free of smoke, alcohol, and conversation. In addition to the music, we offer fine coffees, teas, juices, desserts, and salty snacks. Find out more about us here.
